The Batang Pier are back in business.
NorthPort led by as many as 24 before punching in a 106-89 win over Blackwater Friday in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup, improving to 6-4 after snapping a two-game skid.
Six players were in double figures for NorthPort, led by former no. 1 pick Joshua Munzon with 20 points. Import Venky Jois put up a strong 19-point, 20-rebound double-double for the Batang Pier, while Paul Zamar added 13.
Rey Suerte led the way for also-ran Blackwater with 20 points on a starting role.
