Cagayan Valley school bags top prize in Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition

A team from the Philippine Science High School- Cagayan Valley campus led by Ethan Bautista received one P1 million worth of cash and prizes after claiming the top spot in the first Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition in the country. The team’s project Intellimeter edged out other entries.

The second prize went to Bansud National High School-Regional Science HS in Mimaropa for their Project OASIS or Oil and Solid Waste Agricultural absorption System and Integrated Solar Power via Filtration Bin technology.

Solve for Tomorrow aims to empower STEM students to share and realize their ideas, turning them into practical solutions that can create an impact on the local community. The competition is part of the electronic giant’s celebration of its 25th anniversary in the Philippines.
