Advanced Terrain Version, New Changan Lantuozer EXPLORER (PRO) EDITION 2023-2024
On the afternoon of July 25, 2023, Changan Lantuo Explorer Edition was officially launched, with a total of two configuration models priced at 169,900 yuan and 175,900 yuan respectively. Compared to the version currently on the market, the Explorer Edition can be considered an "advanced terrain" version.
The upgrade in the model design of the Lantuo Explorer Edition is obvious and is more in line with its positioning that places more emphasis on land use scenarios.
Take a closer look, the current Explorer Edition features a max 800mm high wading hose, 18-inch wheels, all-terrain AT tires and a suspension system that puts more emphasis on off-road performance.
At the same time, the new car places more emphasis on creating a sporty, authoritative and tough feel in terms of appearance details and uses multiple black trim panels and front bezels to make it look more imposing.
Thanks to tweaks to the overall suspension system, the new car has 225mm of ground clearance, 29° approach angle, 27° departure angle and a front winch capable of towing 14,000 pounds.
The rear cargo compartment now measures 1600/1595/500 mm. Moreover, the tailgate of the rear cargo area of the new car, in addition to supporting the flat floor, now supports an additional section of opening, making it easy for us to retrieve the contents of the cargo box.
For the interior, the new car continues the color scheme of the exterior, providing interiors with contrasting red and black that look much harsher. In terms of layout, the new car is basically consistent with the previously released Lantuo. It is equipped with dual 12.3-inch central control screens and multiple simultaneous physical buttons, which can control the car functions more intuitively and simply. .
In terms of power, the Lantuo Explorer Edition is still equipped with a Blue Whale 2.0T engine with a maximum power of 171 kilowatts and a maximum torque of 390 Nm. In terms of transmission, the 2.0T engine still matches ZF's 8AT transmission. For the all-wheel drive system, the new car will provide a center differential lock and a rear axle differential lock to support multiple driving modes.
