Earthquake In Turkey & Syria: Over 4,000 Killed As Rescuers Search For Survivors; India Rushes Aid

A powerful earthquake of 7.8 magnitude hit Turkey and Syria on February 6. More than 4,000 people have been killed in the tragedy, reported PTI. Thousands of buildings were levelled across Turkey and Syria. Later, many aftershocks were experienced. A 7.5-magnitude tremor also hit the region. More than 14,500 people have been left injured. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared seven days of mourning. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India is ready to help the affected people in Turkey. The NDRF team, along with dog squad medical supplies, drilling machines, and other important tools required for the aid efforts, departed for Turkey. Watch the video to know more.
