We discovered a heat-stricken kitten on the side of a road as we went outside for street feeding. We wanted to get him off the sweltering concrete, put him somewhere cool, and give him something to eat and drink. He bit us and attacked us with his paws when we attempted to grab him. He may not have had a positive experience with people because he was very afraid.
