Baking soda: We use it for baking. But, Did you know that this versatile product has other benefits and uses? 1- Linen and Clothing freshener. *Place an open box of baking soda alongside your stacks of sheets and towels to stave off mustiness. 2- Toothpaste. *No toothpaste, Mix baking soda with water for an effective, nonabrasive cleanser. 3- Unclogs drains. *Pour one cup of baking soda down the drain, then chase with one cup of vinegar. Let it sit for 5 minutes. Follow with a gallon of boiling water. 4- Laundry. Prewash with baking soda or add to your favorite detergent for cleaner, fresher and brighter clothes. 5- Deodorize. Place an open box of baking soda inside your refrigerator to neutralize odors, sprinkle on rugs before vacuum, sprinkle in trash cans. 6- Clean pots and pans. *Cover stubborn baked-on spots in casserole dishes with baking soda. Let sit for 5 minutes, then scrub with a damp sponge and rinse 7- Eraser. *Sprinkle baking soda on a damp sponge and use it to remove crayon, pencil, and ink marks from painted surfaces. Wipe of the residue.
