The Last Homily of the Most Rev. Dr. Fulton John Sheen | 141 East 43rd Street | 13 April 1979

On 13 April 1979, a large crowd gathered in and around the Church of Saint Agnes in Manhattan, New York City, U.S.A. to hear the wisdom of Most Reverend Archbishop Fulton John Sheen for what would be his last homily/sermon.

The topic of his homily was, “Spectators on and about the Cross.” He broke the spectators into three groups:

The spectators of the indifferent or fallen away
The spectators of pain
The spectators of love

Each person will find something they can relate to in this timeless message.
