MP: East Malaysia not a rubbish dump for problematic cops

Several opposition politicians have criticised the police for transferring nine of their problematic personnel to East Malaysian territories.

Kota Belud MP Isnaraissah Munirah Majilis wrote on Facebook yesterday that Sabah and Sarawak were facing enough problems and the police's policy was adding to it.

Similarly, Sarawak PKR information chief Abun Sui Anyit urged the police to explain why Sabah and Sarawak were chosen but not other states in Peninsular Malaysia.

Yesterday, deputy Selangor police chief S Sasikala Devi said nine police personnel involved in an extortion racket in Gombak were transferred to Sabah and Sarawak pending investigations.
