A Vacation That Changed A Life

Sometimes, vacation is a little escape from life back home. For Katya, it was the first chapter in a whole new life adventure. She was vacationing in Costa Rica when she met a woman named Karen selling empanadas on the side of the road. A friendship quickly blossomed and they kept in touch when Kayta returned to Florida. Fast forward a little bit and Karen shared her plan to build a treehouse. Katya decided that was a plan she wanted to be a part of, picked up her life in the U.S. and moved to Costa Rica where she lives in a cottage Karen built for her.
