About 100 police officers stood guard and protected a Dalit bridegroom who wished to ride a horse to his wedding, ensuring that there would be no trouble or objection from upper caste individuals in the Sarsi village of Neemuch district in Madhya Pradesh on January 27. Groom Rahul Meghwal was threatened by the ‘dabangs’ of the village.
