Graham Eldridge is a Sydney based artist with over 10 years of experience.  Graham paints almost exclusively in an abstract expressionist colour-field style, using acrylics on canvas for most of his work.

One of his early pivotal memories was seeing an art exhibition where he saw large colourful colourfield abstract artworks for the first time. He was enthralled, and seeing this really changed his boundaries about the possibilities of what art could be.  Graham Eldridge's paintings are typically colourful and symmetrical, and he aims to produce authentic works of art which are largely minimalist, but which create a maximum impact.

His paintings are subtle, yet bold. Simple, yet complex.

On the whole, his paintings exhibit a gentle subtlety and stillness and have a calming effect.

Graham Eldridge alternates between disciplined and time consuming structural pieces with architectural concept, where he uses multiple layers and masking tape to create hard edge inspired work. The other styles that he works in are much looser and inspired by artists such as Kline, Dekooking and Rothko.

Graham takes inspiration from observations of architectural design, abstract, cubit, minimalist, and colour field art styles, as well as art which came out of the States during the 50's, 60's and 70's. Graham loves to paint and paints what he loves.

Each of Graham Eldridge's paintings is unique and hand painted in his studio in Sydney, Australia. He has exhibited at Disorder Gallery in Darlinghurst, Sydney, the Other Art Fair in Barrangaroo, and online at Bluethumb, Saatchi Art and Artelier.
