New Covid Spike May be Worse than 1st; India's Genome Sequencing Woefully Inadequate—Prof Ashish Jha

In a 35-minute interview to Karan Thapar for The Wire, Prof. Jha, who is the Dean of the Brown University School of Public Health and before that was Professor of Global Health at Harvard University, told The Wire that India’s genome sequencing “is woefully too little”. The government has confirmed that India has only done 11,064 cases of genome sequencing which has been calculated as 0.1% of the total cases in India. Prof. Jha said “5% is the right number” and added “0.1% is way off”.
