The Queen opens the gardens of Buckingham Palace to picnickers in the summer

Visitors will be able to walk a path through the garden that includes the 156-meter Herbaceous Border, plane trees named after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, and views around the 3.5-acre lake of the island and its acorns.

The largest private garden in London is home to 30 species of birds and also the garden is a rich biodiverse habitat, with over a thousand trees and 320 different types of wildflower and grass, the Royal Collection Trust.
The garden has hosted royal gatherings such as The Queen's Garden Parties for the past 200 years, but now the general public can enjoy it as well.

Visitors will be able to see the plane trees planted and named after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert
