Evan Fournier Makes His Celtics Debut

Evan Fournier was interviewed pregame before the Celtics game vs the New Orleans Pelicans. Fournier would be making his debut as a Celtic after being traded from the Magic at the NBA trade deadline.
Fournier was asked about being traded, and more specifically about whether he not he spoke with his teammate on the French national team, Vincent Poirier. "That was the first thing I did," said Fournier. He said that Poirier only had good things to say about the Celtics and the city of Boston. Poirier played for the Celtics last season before moving teams this past offseason.
The swingman also talked about his final moments in Orlando and his conversations with Nikola Vucevic and Aaron Gordon, who were also traded at the deadline. "You can't waste energy on things you can't control," said Fournier. He did say that he was "really excited" when he found out he was traded to the Celtics, but enjoyed his time with the Magic.
Fournier also said that he thinks he can be a super helpful player to this team. "I can handle, I can pass, you can run me off screens," Fournier said. He mentioned that is going to try and adapt to everything the Celtics already do and help improve the team.
