All UK citizens and residents returning to the country from 33 countries around the world with high levels of coronavirus infection will be checked in for a 10 day quarantine in hotels starting today, 14 February, the list of which has been approved by the government.

The government signed contracts with the country’s 16 hotels, providing 4,963 rooms. In addition, the Department of Health and Human Services (DHSC) said that a further 58,000 figures are in reserve. Two tests must also be passed by travelers arriving in the country, on the second and eighth quarantine days.

“The rules taking effect today will strengthen the quarantine system and provide another layer of protection against new strains of coronavirus at the border.” Health Secretary Matt Hancock said. For 10 days per adult, the hotel will be charged £ 1,750.
