As the Second World War spreads across the globe, even the harsh Arctic region becomes a battleground. In the North Atlantic, Allied convoys had for Murmansk, carrying supplies to aid Russia in the fight against Germany. In the Pacific, Japan seizes the frigid island of Attu as another stepping-stone, but American forces quickly respond with their own invasion to secure the area.
