சென்னை, திருவள்ளூர், செங்கல்பட்டு மற்றும் காஞ்சிபுரம் ஆகிய மாவட்டங்களில் வரும் ஜூன் 19-ம் தேதி முதல் ஜூன் 30 வரையில் 12 நாள்கள் முழு ஊரடங்கு உத்தரவு அமல்படுத்தப்படுவதாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

The move came after the medical expert committee, set up by the state government, met CM Palaniswami and discussed the issue of increasing coronavirus infections. The health experts recommended tightening of lockdown restrictions.

In a statement issued, Palaniswami said in Chennai, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu and Tiruvallur, the lockdown will be implemented strictly for a period of 12 days.
