Pakistan’s first modern metro opened on October 25, 2020 in Lahore. The infrastructure project was jointly funded by and will be operated in collaboration with Chinese companies. The Orange Line of the Lahore metro system stretches for 27km (17 miles), includes 26 stations and is expected to carry 250,000 passengers daily.
