This is the amusing moment a commuter wore his creative face shield made from a plastic bottle with a Spider-Man design.

Nurse Mark Anthony Bonito saw the man with the unique face shield inside the train carriage approaching the Legarda station in Manila City, the Philippines.

The creative man measured his face and marked it with a pen before cutting it out. He also put some holes on either side so he can place a garter which will hold the cover in front of his face.

To complete the project, he painted it with the face of Spider-Man using red and black paint.

Mark chatted with the man with the iconic Marvel comics character-inspired protective gear and took some selfies with him and the eye-catching face shield.

He said: "I asked him why he did the Spider-Man face shield and he told me that he wants to make strangers smile even for a moment.

"Commuting in our city is stressful enough because of the traffic, and now we have the pandemic to make our burdens heavier. I am glad to see him that day.''

A special council was made by the government to oversee the Covid-19 response and cases handling in the country.

Preventive measures such as requiring of wearing a face shield when going out in public has recently been implemented by the council aside from face masks.

The Philippines currently has 224,000 confirmed Covid-19 cases and counting with more than 3,500 deaths. It also implemented the longest-running lockdown in the world.
