Tom Banton showcased his prolific attacking skills with the bat in the first T20I against Pakistan on Friday. Though no spectator was allowed to witness the match live inside the Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester, the impact of Banton's performance reached all the way to India. In a rain-hit encounter, Banton scored a 42-ball 71 before being dismissed by Shadab Khan. The England innings could only last for 16.1 overs and by then the hosts had put a total of 131 runs on the board. The wait went on as persistent rain forced the officials to call off the match.
