Ariana Grande Meets & FANGIRLS Over Blackpink at Coachella
What’s up guys, It’s Emile Ennis Jr. here with Clevver News and we are still in awe of Blackpink. I know they say let’s kill this love, but we’re here to talk about the fact that they killed both of their performances at Weekend 1 and 2 of Coachella. The girls made history as they became the first K-Pop girl group to perform at Coachella. If you haven’t watched any clips from their set, I have to show you a little clip because you will fall in love with them like Blinks all over the world have.
I mean come on! In between weekend 1 and 2, they started the U.S. leg of their “In Your Area” tour in LA at The Forum. And at the end of their show, Jennie said to the audience, “This is just the beginning, so watch out for us.” They also made headlines after appearing on the “Late Late Show with James Corden” where they performed “Kill This Love” and played a game of Flinch.
But James Corden isn’t the only celebrity fan, after their recent U.S. appearances, we are seeing just how much celebs love Blackpink. One OG supporter is Dua LIpa who actually collabed with the girls on the track “Kiss and Make Up”! But so many celebs made sure to show love during Coachella this year. Jaden Smith hung out with the girls after performing his set. Diplo posted this photo to his insta with the caption, “I’m literally wearing black and pink” We see what you did there. There were other celebs who went to their concert in LA like Pharrell, and DJ Snake.
But when Ariana Grande professed her love for Blackpink, it nearly broke the internet. A fan posted this screenshot convo with Ari where they asked if she knew who Blackpink was and said they’re going to be at Coachella. Ari responded saying yes I do. I know imma try to see them second week.
SO EVERYBODY WAS WAITING FOR BLACKPINK TO MEET ARIANA GRANDE. But after they didn’t see them together during Coachella Weekend 1, a fan asked on Instagram “Why didn’t you meet with blackpink?” She responded saying, “they weren’t there. We performed on different days, but I hope to see their set/meet them this week! They are so great.”
