Hongkonger sleeps rough in pedestrian tunnel rather than in his flat even amid Covid-19 epidemic

Peter Cheung has a home of his own in Tin Shui Wai, a border town in northwest Hong Kong not far from the city’s border with the Chinese mainland. But two years ago, Cheung started sleeping rough in a tunnel in Tsim Sha Tsui, a busy area much closer to his workplace. Despite the coronavirus outbreak, Cheung has no plans to move back home, saying he thinks the ventilation is better in the open area of the tunnel compared to the blocks of flats in Tin Shui Wai.
