EPCAMR's Rainbow Trout Fry are growing 01/13/20

Our Rainbow Trout Fry continue to grow. Some of the bigger ones are eating some of the smaller ones! We are feeding the 2x a day. Survival of the fittest, they will definitely learn that when we release them in the late spring. A healthy coating of algae helps to reduce the Nitrates so we don't have to change the water as often.

Pennsylvania's statewide Trout In the Classroom (TIC) program is made possible through a unique partnership between the Pennsylvania Council of Trout Unlimited (PATU) and the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC). This partnership provides curriculum resources, workshops for teachers and program partners, technical support, trout eggs and food, and grants.
