If you lived in North America in the 1970s the words Ford Granada means luxury driving. But if you’re from Europe, and specifically the UK, the Granada means fast car chases in "The Sweeney". The Granada completed the transformation of Ford’s stodgy 1960s image with a complete line-up of daring car designs for an affordable price. But why was it initially called the Ford Consul in the UK, and where did it all go wrong with the Ford Scorpio in the 1990s?
