The Troggs - Wild Thing

The Troggs were early rockers with chart topping songs such as the "Caveman Rock". They also wrote pop and ballads and were part of the British Invasion of rock music in the 1960s. The group composed the majority of their own music and had a wide range and melodic invention, with Reg Presley's vocals setting the tone of their music. Between 1966 and 1968, they were famous for hit singles such as "With A Girl Like You" and "I Can't Control Myself."

"Wild Thing" is ranked #257 on the Rolling Stone magazine's list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. It topped the UK, USA & Canadian charts at Number 2 in the UK and Number 1 in the USA and Canada. "Wild Thing" is The Troggs only Single to reach number 1 in the USA
