Speak out India: Did Ansari cross the line by dubbing MPs as anarchists?

Another day another uproar. But this time the chairman of Rajya Sabha lost his cool. NewsX: After the BJP MPs stalled the house over Kishtwar violence and Vadra land deal. An agitated Hamid Ansari had this to say. His comments added fuel to the fire of the opposition. Leader of opposition in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley and his deputy both raised strong objection to the comments.

The row soon kicked up a storm on twitter. While the people criticised MPs. Ansari wasn't spared either this tweet said that someone should remind Ansari on how he adjourned the house during the lokpal debate.

But be that as it may the ruckus in parliament is costing the country dearly. One hour of parliament session costs rs 25 lakh so for a day that it is adjourned. We lose a whopping 2 crore rupees. Parliament is scheduled to meet for a minimum of 80 days in a year.

In the budget session of parliament this year. 70 per cent of the scheduled time was Wasted in 2012 parliament lost 109 hours due to disruptions in 2011, 30-35 per cent of parliament's time wasted due to disruption.

So Was Hamid ansari off the mark is anarchy too strong a description or are the parliamentarians really taking the anarchy route.
