Trump's Attorney General Pick Says He Did, In Fact, Register For Draft

According to Reuters, President Donald Trump’s pick to serve as U.S. attorney general, William Barr, got his nomination off to an awkward start by changing his statement that he did in fact sign up for the military draft during the Vietnam War. Barr, told the Senate Judiciary Committee he had incorrectly described his draft record in biographical materials he submitted ahead of his confirmation hearings. Barr changed his position after being asked by Reuters why he had not registered.
