Sonic Purchased by Inspire Brands for $2.3 Billion Inspire Brands formed in February 2018 after Arby’s acquired Buffalo Wild Wings. The parent company of Arby’s and Buffalo Wild Wings will now own the burger chain. Sonic shareholders will get $43.50 per share in cash, Sonic will be operated as its own separate business unit. Shares of the company hit an all-time high of $44.87 following the announcement of the deal. The acquisition is set to close by the end of the year.
