Here's Why I Won't Sell My Aston Martin Vantage GT8!

Would I ever sell my Aston Martin Vantage GT8? On paper it is over-priced and very expensive, it's under powered and not as fast as it looks, and potentially just doesn't make sense - but, sometimes ignore the head because the heart says there is nothing else like it! What therefore could possibly be better than heading to an owners gathering with 22 GT8s present at Aston Martin Works! The sights and sounds you just won't believe...

With only 150 cars built in total, plus 3 additional ones used by the factory, any GT8 is a rare car. Based on the hugely popular V8 Vantage, the GT8 was built to create a true drivers car with a naturally aspirated engine, most are fitted with manual gearboxes, it has heavy steering and clutch, but one of the most fun cars ever to drive. Of the total, we think around 60 are based in the UK, but including a guest from Germany, the line-up of 19 cars driven to the venue, 1 that's for sale plus 2 more in the workshop, was really quite breathtaking to behold. We're talking around £4 million worth of them all in the same place, something that won't even have happened when they were being built and will probably never happen again.

Starting out in London, we head on a convoy with multiple stops for the pack to grow as more cars join us to be greeted by the full line-up at Aston Martin Works; home of the original Aston Martin factory up until the previous generation Vanquish S. Along the way we have so many of the very best sounds; from on the road driving, to the cars departing at the end - it couldn't get better.

A thanks to the organisers for putting this event in place and bringing the group of owners together in the first place; it's a fantastic community and that makes the owernship experience even more special.

Thanks for watching, Tim
