Wildfires in Wales Force Emergency Response, Prompt Evacuation Preparations

The North Wales Fire and Rescue Service issued a statement on July 3 urging the public to be extra careful after the service had to intervene to tackle fires in the areas of Bethesda, Caenarfon and Bangor Mountain.“It’s too early to determine the exact cause of these fires but we are urging everybody to take extra care when they are out and about in the countryside to help reduce the risk of fire – especially during this exceptionally hot and dry weather," said Kevin Roberts of the North Wales Fire and Rescue Services.In a video shared by a local resident, flames can be seen propagating quickly near Bethesda.
