Green-fingered couple transform lawn into stunning oasis

The garden boasts over 3,000 different species of plant and flowers, bursting with vivid colour following the warmest April on record. The couple have spent around £15,000 creating their garden which includes 140 Japanese maples, 20 ilex golden kings, 15 juniper blue stars, two huge Virginia creepers. The couple, who have four grown-up children and one granddaughter, are opening their garden up to the public this summer month as part of the National Gardens Scheme.
