Three Chinese fishermen have netted a 514kg kaluga sturgeon.

In the video, more than a dozen of people carry the giant kaluga onto the bank after it is pulled onto the boat.

The female kaluga was estimated to be around 100 years old and the local government bureau bought it for £26,000.

Officials said they would treat the injured kaluga first and then arrange for artificial breeding, according to reports.

The kaluga sturgeon is one of the world's largest freshwater fish and reportedly critically endangered.
