A group of experts has placed President Trump on the bottom rung of "presidential greatness," reports CBS News.  The findings, published Monday by Boise State University, are based on a survey of 170 existing and recent members of the Presidents & Executive Politics Section of the American Political Science Association.
The survey was conducted from December 22, 2017 to January 16, 2018 and was called the "2018 Presidents & Executive Politics Presidential Greatness Survey." Participants were asked to rank the nation's past and present leaders on a scale of 0, being the worst, to 100, the greatest.  Trump earned an average score of 12.34, which landed him in the last place. Partisanship was not apparently a significant factor, as the marks given by Republican survey-takers landed Trump in 40th place.  Abraham Lincoln claimed first, and next seven slots were filled with the usual names: George Washington, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Teddy Roosevelt, Thomas Jefferson, Harry Truman, and Dwight Eisenhower. Notably, the uppermost tier included some new names this year. Barack Obama came in at number 8, rising from his previous 18th place ranking, and Ronald Reagan moved up two places to number 9.  Rounding out the top 10 was Lyndon B. Johnson.
Contrasting this ranking, Trump has often spoken highly of his presidency.
Back in October, the president said, "perhaps no administration" has accomplished more in its first nine months than his administration. And in January, Trump called himself a "very stable genius."
