Justo un año y medio después de la edición de su quinto álbum The Mean Solar Times (Picture in my Ear Records, Rock Indiana 2016), los barceloneses Stay vuelven a la carga con un nuevo trabajo, Always Here, esta vez en formato EP vinilo de 7" con cinco canciones, que verá la luz a finales de septiembre de 2017 de la mano del sello británico Fruits de Mer Records (disponible en plataformas digitales a finales de octubre por Picture in my Ear Records). Always Here es el single extraído de The Mean Solar Times para la ocasión, producido también por Owen Morris (Oasis, The Verve). El trabajo incluye además tres versiones neo psicodélicas de tres hits de finales de los 60 de Buffalo Springfield (Rock and Roll Woman), The Kinks (Where Have All The Good Times Gone) y Bee Gees (Every Christian Lion Hearted Man Will Show You), y también un remix del folk rockero 'You Know It's Right' a cargo del productor neoyorquino Claudius Mittendorfer (Temples, Johnny Marr, Weezer). En este remix se descubren guitarras inéditas de Andy Bell (Ride, Oasis), flamante colaborador y amigo de la banda desde el teloneo a Beady Eye en Madrid y Barcelona. El nuevo EP va a incluir otra sorpresa en su interior en forma de DVD con el documental 'Always Here, The Making of The Mean Solar Times', acerca de las sesiones de su grabación. El álbum obtuvo una muy buena respuesta entre los medios especializados internacionales en 2016 y llegó a ser primicia en los medios anglosajones Mojo, Q magazine y The Big Takeover (Top 40).
Con Always Here Stay pretende dar continuidad a The Mean Solar Times, su trabajo más ambicioso, y afianzar su personal rock psicodélico único y delicioso con reminiscencias tanto a referentes clásicos como a bandas más contemporáneas como Kula Shaker, Charlatans, Temples, Alfa9 o Tame Impala.
Barcelona psych rockers Stay are back on Fruits de Mer Records ! Four years after Mersey Dream EP the band strike again with Always Here EP. The new work (out on 25th September 2017) includes the hit single 'Always Here', produced by the britpop guru Owen Morris ( Oasis, The Verve) extracted from their current fifth album The Mean Solar Times (Picture in my Ear Records, 2016) plus three neo-psychedelic covers versions from late 60's UK and USA hits byBuffalo Springfield (Rock and Roll Woman), The Kinks ( Where Have All The Good Times Gone) and early Bee Gees ( Every Christian Lion Hearted Man Will Show You) and a remix of Stay's jingle jangle byrdsy 'You Know It's Right' by Claudius Mittendorfer (Temples, Johnny Marr) showing unreleased guitars by Andy Bell (Ride, Oasis) as the top guest star contributor. The coloured 7" vinyl pack also includes another big surprise inside: A Full HD 'Making Of' documentary film on DVD about the recording sessions of The Mean Solar Times album . The album got considerable good feedback in 2016 from specialized media all around the world and was a premiere on Mojo, Q magazine and The Big Takeover (Top 40). Stay bring a fresh take in the modern realm of softer psychedelic sounds, bringing to mind Kula Shaker, early Charlatans and Fools Gold-era Stone Roses and have found their own unique place among contemporaries Alfa9, Temples, Sulk and Tame Impala.
