The doomsday clock is at two minutes to midnight for the first time since 1953

The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists announced that the Doomsday Clock had moved thirty seconds closer to midnight, to just two minutes away on 25 January 2018, citing climate change and the threat of nuclear warfare as contributing factors.
