For about 70 years, flu vaccines have been grown in eggs and contained trace amounts of egg protein. Those administering the shot were trained to ask people if they had egg allergies, before giving it to them. But now, no worries! According to Business Insider, studies confirm that the flu vaccine is safe for those with egg allergies. Allergist Matthew Greenhawt penned new guidelines, released on Tuesday.
