FOMO, or fear of missing out, is real. Remember when Rihanna quit Instagram? And Nicki Minaj deleted her Twitter? Iggy Azalea and Azealia Banks are taking a social media break too. But it will never last because we all have FOMO, and most of us are addicted to social media.

I’m addicted to social media because i can’t stand the thought of missing out.

Remember when Rihanna quit Instagram? And that time Nicki Minaj deleted her Twitter? that was short-lived! The reason...That damn FOMO.

Now you have Iggy Azalea and Azealia Banks on hiatus, but we all know they’ll be back too. So I took it to the street. I want to find out how people deal with their FOMO.

As you can see, FOMO is truly an epidemic, but all hope is not lost. I’ve compiled a few quick tips to help us get off our phones and engaged in real life.

1) Screen-Free Saturdays. Put your phone under your bed, leave the house and take the entire day off of social media.
2) Delete at least one of your favorite social media apps off your phone to cut down on your usage.
3) Use a social media scheduler app that posts for you, so you can remain active online while focusing on the finer things in life.
