The Talk Show: Why am I getting a recording? and no I am not at Comic Con!

As you are seeing this I am on the road going to pay my last respects to my father who recently passed away. My dad always taught me not to leave a job unfinished so here we go.
I will discuss the top 5 movies when I return.
Warner Bros/DC Comics
Justice League Trailer – OK Warner Bros you just dropped major hotness on the internet. The biggest Easter egg in the whole trailer was the voice of the main villain Steppenwolf saying “No Lanterns, No Kryptonians” after seeing the upgrade WB has done in their live action with Wonder Woman who is featured heavily in the trailer we might be in good shape this November….Stay Tuned.
Announcement – Ben Affleck is trying to depart from being Batman. Since the new title for the Flash movie is: FlashPoint creating an alternate reality where Ben Affleck can get out of his contract….Remember folks Money Talks.
Warner Bros Animation – I love some DC Comics animation and I feel there are very few who will argue against me. Announcing three more features getting the animated once over. Gotham by Gaslight, Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay, and Death of Superman and Reign of the Supermen….Animation is their strongest area so all these will be no brainers.
Ready Player One – this seems like an interesting concept (the matrix meets videogame licensing) not sure where they going to go with this one but: it looks visually appealing. In the words of Chris Rock that Spielberg is something else.
Disney/Marvel
Since D23 happened SDCC always seems like an afterthought when it comes to announcements and the ability to upstage the competition seems like a second thought.
Netflix – Defenders Trailer was decent but not jaw dropping which runs par for the level at which the heroes play compared to their big screen counterparts. But we won’t have to wait long since it drops August 18th. Iron fist gets a season 2 even after its less than stellar into to the MCU. It also gets a new show runner. Can we say: You not fired but we going in a different direction?
Television – An Agents of Shield/Inhumans crossover has been announced. I guess Marvel has taken the cue from Warner Bros and will do their best to connect TV shows better than how they have been doing with the movies.
Other news
Star Trek – Spock got a black sister? So Spock’s mom who has always been portrayed as a Caucasian female had a little chocolate in her life before getting down with the Vulcans? But that trailer looks real hot CBS trying to get my attention outside of Big Bang Theory since they messed up and let Supergirl get away.
Spawn is coming back! Man I loved this comic book back in the day. Now we are going to get another attempt at a live action version. For what it was worth a guilty pleasure of mine was watching this film. The special effects were cheesy but when you get a black superhero on screen you do what you can. Hope this one gets the respect the character deserves.
