London is getting serious about air pollution, after Mayor Sadiq Khan's Friday announcement to improve air quality. The T-charge, the 10-pound will be a daily tax that applies to diesel and petrol vehicles registered before 2006. The new tax means some drivers will have to pay up to 21.50 pounds just to drive in central London. There will also be an online tool for drivers to check if their cars will be affected by the new levy, which officially goes into force on Monday, October 23. If we don’t make drastic changes now we won’t be protecting the health of our families in the future. said mayor Khan in a statement
