Hundreds of Indian widows dressed in white play with flowers and coloured powder inside an ancient temple ahead of Holi, a Hindu celebration also known as the 'Festival of Colours' which marks the coming of spring. Vrindavan is home to around 2,000 widows who have been shunned by their families after the deaths of their husbands, where any kind of celebration has traditionally been frowned upon.
