New findings from a study released Tuesday reveals that two doses of the vaccine for HPV, rather than three, can protect younger teens against the sexually transmitted virus. The study revelations have led U.S. government health officials to revise previous guidelines to recommending a two-dose regimen for teens younger than 15. According to UPI.com the suggested dose prior to the update had been three for adolescents and young adults up through 26 years of age.
