Amitabh Bachchan: 'If not an actor, I would have been a taxi driver'

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, often considered the patriarch of Bollywood, might be known as one of the finest actors in the film industry, but the Big B has lost none of his modesty over the years.
At a recent event, the 'Shahenshah' of Bollywood quite candidly admitted, "After I failed in the FTII preliminary exam, it strengthened my resolve to join the film industry and I quit my job to come here to Mumbai to try my luck. At the time, I had just carried my driving license around with me, because I felt that if I cannot make it as an actor, I would be a taxi driver."
Bachchan will be next seen sharing screen space with Sridevi in a guest appearance in the latter's comeback film 'English Vinglish', which is helmed by debut director Gauri Shinde.
