Jason Hughes was driving on North Carolina Highway 10 on November 17 when a distracted motorist came towards him at high speed. Thanks to the rapid acceleration of the Tesla, disaster was narrowly avoided.Though the Tesla did not react autonomously, Jason believes not many cars would have been able to accelerate at such a fast pace.
