Julian Assange, the man behind WikiLeaks, says he will soon be releasing information that could impact the upcoming U.S. general election, notes CBS News.
On Wednesday he told Megyn Kelly of FOX News, “We have a lot of pages of material, thousands of pages of material.... It’s a variety of different types of documents from different types of institutions that are associated with the election campaign, some quite unexpected angles that are, you know, quite interesting, some even entertaining.”
When asked if the information could change the current outlook of the presidential race, Assange commented, “I think it's significant. You know, it depends on how it catches fire in the public and in the media."
It was not revealed when the leak will occur.
