John Cho says a gay kiss was cut from 'Star Trek Beyond'

John Cho said in an interview with Vulture that a “welcome-home kiss’ between two male characters was removed from the sci-fi sequel Star Trek Beyond.
Cho’s character Sulu is revealed to have a daughter with his male partner, but Cho says that there was originally supposed to be more affection.
“There was a kiss that I think is not there any more,” he said in the interview.
“It wasn’t like a make-out session.
We’re at the airport with our daughter.
It was a welcome-home kiss.
I’m actually proud of that scene, because it was pretty tough.”
