Vishal Bhardwaj Denies Approaching Kareena Kapoor For 'Rangoon'

Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor, who will be next seen sharing screen space in Vishal Bhardwaj's Rangoon, share the 'Bebo Connection' (Shahid had earlier dated Kareena, who ended up marrying Saif). As a result, there had been a buzz recently that Vishal had initially approached Kareena for the female lead in the period drama.

However, when asked to confirm the reports, Vishal said that he never approached Kareena for the role as the female lead character was written keeping Kangana Ranaut in mind. In the film, Kangana will be seen playing a Broadway dancer and is undergoing training in ballet and horse-riding for the same.

In Rangoon, Saif will play an action hero while Shahid will play a soldier from the INA (Indian National Army).
