At least one person has died and nine have been critically injured after a giant wheel at a theme park collapsed on Wednesday.
The incident occurred at Kishkinta Theme park in Kancheepuram district of Tamil Nadu. The joy ride was being tested when it crashed. The cause of the mishap is being investigated.
The victim, identified as Mani, was declared brought dead at a hospital.
Police said the incident occurred after the park was closed for the day. The theme park remains closed on Thursday.
There is no official word from the management about the reason of the mishap.
