An adorable one-eyed, white and brown owl named Oedipus is making a new home for himself at the Chattanooga Zoo after an eye loss due to injury lowered his chance of survival in the wild.
Owls may be known for their piercing stares, but that hasn’t stopped a one-eyed member from being an animal ambassador at the Chattanooga Zoo.
His name is Oedipus, and he is a snowy white and brown Eastern Screech Owl who recently became a resident at the Tennessee facility.
According to a post on the zoo’s Facebook page, he arrived at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center with “an eye injury that resulted in its removal.”
