Woman found dead in Manhattan died of cocaine overdose after party with HBO producer

NEW YORK--News outlets in New York City are reporting that 38-year-old Kiersten Rickenbach Cerveny, an affluent Long Island dermatologist who was found dead in Lower Manhattan on Sunday morning, likely died of a cocaine overdose, and that police don't suspect foul play.
Cerveny's dead body was discovered at 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning in the entry of a Chelsea apartment building, with her foot propping the door open, and bruising on her neck.
The New York Daily News reports that at 2 a.m. Sunday, she had been out drinking in Manhattan's Lower East Side with several friends, including 51-year-old Marc Henry Johnson, who is a producer for HBO. Then, around 4 a.m., Cerveny and Johnson went to Chelsea to meet another man, 60-year-old James "Pepsi" Holder.
Witnesses reported seeing Cerveny entering the apartment building with Johnson. A resident told the Daily Mail that Cerveny, Johnson and Holder continued drinking in a unit on the third floor of the building and that Cerveny used cocaine.
The New York Daily News reports that, while in the apartment, Cerveny became unresponsive and started turning blue. Johnson attempted CPR and called 911. Then, in surveillance video from the apartment building, Johnson and Holder can be seen carrying her down the stairs to the street.
Johnson waited for paramedics and directed them to Cerveny's body, but he and Holder left before police arrived. Cerveny was pronounced dead in the hospital at 9:10 a.m. Sunday. The Daily News reports that the bruises on her neck appear to be scars from a recent medical procedure.
Later, Marc Henry Johnson was questioned by police but not charged. The police also removed evidence from the scene and were seeking James Holder for questioning as of Monday.
