Mexican Gov’t Prohibits IACHR Interviews with Military Officials

The government of Mexico is not allowing a team of experts of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights to conduct personal interviews with military personnel regarding the disappearance of 43 Ayotzinapa students almost one year ago. The IACHR said the government would not allow them to interview soldiers who could be key witnesses in the investigation. The Commission does not believe the official version regarding the fate of the students and is concerned about serious flaws in the investigation, including the loss of evidence, including a video taken at the scene of police intervention. teleSUR
